A couple months ago when I surveyed my list, I asked this question…

What do you want more advice on? Training, Diet or Mindset?

The clear winner was Mindset.

So today I will answer your question and give you a little secret that I use to help me get out of bed on those cold early mornings or on those days when you particularly don’t want to train for whatever the reason may be.

I had one of those days yesterday where I honestly just did not want to train…

I scheduled my workout for 7.30am. As 7.30 was arising my mind started telling me things like…

-         Its ok you don’t have to train, one missed session wont hurt.

-         You can train later on today when you feel like it.

-         You can train tomorrow instead.

The thing is that I knew if I missed one session it WOULD hurt. I knew that I couldn’t train later because I had clients, programs and blogging to do. And I knew I couldn’t use today’s program tomorrow because then it would screw up my entire weeks training schedule.

Yet I was leaning towards the side that was trying to justify why I shouldn’t train. My bed was just looking so much better right now compared to the sweaty kettlebells and chinup bar.

Then I remembered a technique that I read about which automatically installs the right mindset.

Its called the Propulsion System…

I can almost guarantee this will put you in the correct mindset when it comes to achieving your fat loss goals. If you don’t do this then you can be assured that you won’t get very far.

If you do this correctly then this is the most powerful tool that you can use that most people have no idea about.

When you continue to read this make sure you are doing absolutely nothing else, no eating, texting or listening to music.

The first thing you need to do is close your eyes and visualise exactly what you want out of your fitness goals (whether you think they are realistic or not).

Make the pictures/movie so clear that you actually think you can touch them.

Some should be full associated, viewing your life from your eyes and looking down at your flat stomach. Other should also be disassociated, where you are watching yourself being happy and showing others how great you look.

Now you need to clear these pictures/movie up even more, making them so realistic that all your senses come to life, your sight, touch, sound and smell.

Once the positive visualisations are clear. Then we have to do the opposite.

Pretend to look over your shoulder and imagine a different set of pictures/movie that are directly behind you.

These visualisations should be of the things that you don’t want or what you are scared of. For example looking fat, unfit, not being able to attract anyone, being alone etc.

We need to create both sides of the story. In front of you is the good, happy and healthy you and behind you in the dark is the unfit, disappointing and failing you.

Now that both of these images are crystal clear you are going to imagine the movies in front of you moving further and further away from you. And the awful pictures move forward closer and closer towards your back.

If you do this effectively you now must do the most crucial part of this powerful system.

You must keep imagining that your moving forward because if you idle the unwanted you is going to catch up.

Once you have done the above correctly you will just have installed your own propulsion system. Any time you feel you are struggling and lacking motivation to train, all you have to do is close your eyes and go back to the wanted and unwanted you, and just think If I don’t train the unwanted you will be knocking on your doorstep and if you do train YOU will be knocking on the door to a healthier, fitter and slimmer you.

Yesterday I did this exercise which put me right back on track, I smashed some coffee, put on some Eminem and hit the chin up bar.

I got the workout in which took me ANOTHER step closer to wanted me.
